About Company

Incorporated in 1980, Yajur Fibres Limited is engaged in the processing and manufacturing of bast fibres such as flax, jute, and hemp.

The company specializes in cottonising long bast fibres into short, cotton-like fibres that blend seamlessly with cotton and man-made fibres, supporting sustainable textile solutions.

Backed by strong R&D and commercial-scale production, the company has transformed bast fibres into commercially viable, eco-friendly alternatives.

Operates with a production capacity of 300+ MT per month of cottonised fibre, flax yarn, and jute yarn, supplying leading spinning and weaving mills in India and overseas.

Manufacturing facility is located at Jagannathpur, Phuleshwar, Uluberia (Howrah, West Bengal), spread across 19 acres with 500 meters Ganges riverfront, positioned in India’s jute hub.

Product portfolio includes Flax Yarn, Jute Yarn, Cottonised Flax Fibre, Cottonised Jute Fibre, and Cottonised Hemp Fibre.

As of November 30, 2025, the company employs 409 people across operations.

Strength

Established leader in cottonised bast fibres – One of the prominent manufacturers of premium, sustainable cottonised fibres.

Strategic geographic location – Presence in the West Bengal jute hub ensures raw material access and logistical efficiency.

Strong quality assurance systems – Focused QC processes support consistent product quality and customer trust.

Weakness

Ongoing legal and regulatory matters – CBI investigation and past litigation related to subsidy disbursement may impact reputation and operations if outcomes are adverse.

Audit qualifications – Statutory auditor qualifications for FY23 and FY24 raise concerns on financial reporting quality.

Product concentration risk – Heavy reliance on cottonised flax sales exposes the company to demand fluctuations in a single product category.
